THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, Jan. 30, 1956

Occo LaRue, 56, who lived at 934 Polk St., died of a heart attack, Sunday about 8 a.m. in Detroit where he was working at the time.

He was employed as a trucker.

Funeral services, Monday at 2 p.m. were arranged at Gene Roden and Sons chapel, with burial in Rockford Cemetery. The Rev. Velbert Hayes, pastor of Ramseur Baptist Church of which Mr. LaRue, was a member, had charge.

Pallbearers being J. T. Stephens, Ray Archer, Ed Buchanan of Talco, Dennis Gordon, C. T. LaRue and J. W. Cockrum.

Son of Lon and Anne (Moore) LaRue, Occo LaRue was born in Texas, March 1, 1899.

He married Miss Jewel King.

Besides his father, living now in Oklahoma City, OK, he leaves his wife and these daughters, Mrs. Ray Archer and Mrs. J. T. Stephens, Paris; Mrs. Howard Gordon, Bairdstown and Mrs. E. D. Buchanan, Talco; seven grandchildren; these brothers: the Rev. O. L. LaRue, Paris,; Alton LaRue, Honey Grove and Herschel LaRue, Corpus Christi, and these sisters in Oklahoma: Mrs. Mabel Doyal, Hugo; Mrs. Scott Pointer, Erick, and Mrs. Dottie Mannon, Oklahoma City, besides Mrs. Ruby Miles, whose address was unavailable.
