SOUTHPORT - Mr. Ivon Lee Ludlum, age 80, of 220 N. Lord St., died Wednesday, July 1, 1992, at Dosher Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Southport Baptist Church where he was a member and former deacon, with Rev. Wayne Trexler officiating. Interment will follow in Northwood Cemetery.
Mr. Ludlum was born Dec. 23, 1911, in Shallotte, a son of the late John J. and Rosa Lee Hewett Ludlum and had lived most of his life in Southport. He was a retired longshoreman from the I.L.A. and retired from Southport Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mildred Aldridge Ludlum of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Ivon Wayne and Laura Ludlum of Southport; a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly Ludlum and Michael Winebar of Southport; three sisters, Miss Ruth Ludlum of Shallotte, Mrs. Catherine Byrd of Roanoke, Va., and Mrs. Oneida Bennett of Hickman's Crossroads; a brother, Eldridge Ludlum of Shallotte; and a granddaughter, Amanda Winebar of Southport.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, Southport Volunteer Fire Dept, or Southport Baptist Church Building Fund.
