Irene Corona Ibarra was born February 25, 1961 to Vicente & Maria Corona in Ticuitaco, MPC. La Piedad, Michoacan, Mexico. She married Manuel S. Ibarra on March 8, 1980 in Mexico. Together they came to California for a better future. They made their home in Wasco and together they had 4 beautiful children. Her children and grandchildren were her world, she would do anything for them. Nana, as her grandchildren called her was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She loved to knit and watch "La Academia".

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Manuel S. Ibarra; Four children Manuel Jr, Vicente, Jackie and Bianca Ibarra of Wasco; Three grandchildren: Nathaniel, Jocylnn and Vicente Ibarra Jr. Two brothers; Santiago Corona of Salinas, CA; and Adalberto Corona of Woodland, CA; and three sisters: Elia Corona of Salinas, CA, Juanita Camacho and Josie Jacinto of Fresno, CA, and many other relatives. Irene was preceded in death by Two children.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary was held at Peters Funeral Home on March 13, 2007 at 7pm for Irene Corona Ibarra, age 46, of Wasco, who passed away March 11, 2007 in Delano, CA. Mass of the Christian Burial was March 14, at 10:00 am. Father John Fluetsch of St John's Catholic Church officiated the service and interment follow at Wasco Memorial Park. A visitation was held at Peters Funeral Home on March 13 from 2-8pm.
