Mable Clerc Zwick, 89 of Midland, Michigan, died May 15, 2005 at the MidMichigan Medical Center.

The former Mable Clerk was born on August 28, 1915 in Gresham, Nebraska, daughter of the late Henry and Lillie (Sterup) Clerc. She attended school in Nebraska and graduated from their County Normal.

On April 4, 1936, Mable Clerc married Raymond Zwick in Nebraska. Mable taught school in Nebraska. After moving to Midland, Mable worked for JC Penney's, JJ Newberry and Ryal Statewide Real Estate. She had been a member of St. John's Lutheran Church since 1938. Mr. Zwick died January 26, 1974.

Mable Zwick enjoyed reading, quilting, writing short stories, and writing poetry and just had a poem published in the Midland Daily News on Easter Sunday.

She was survived by two sons, Rodney (Connie) Zwick of St. Johnsbury, Vermont and Darrell (Addie) Zwick of Ludington, Michigan. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Elisabeth Zwick, Darren (Elisa) Zwick and Daniel (Heather) Zwick, one great-grandson, Benjamin, two brothers Marvin (Mildred) Clerc and Pete (Rethal) Clerc all of Midland, three sisters, Lois (Jim) Ryan, Marjorie (Dick) Cassiday and Joyce McLaughlin all of Midland two sisters-in-law, Linda and Janet Clerc, brother-in-law Willard Zwick, and by close friend, Connie Trudell.

In addition to her parents and husband Mable was predeceased by two brothers, Eugene Clerc and Arnold Clerc and two sisters Bernice and Maxine.

Funeral: St. Johns Lutheran Church with Pastors John Pohanka and Douglas Janetzke officiating.
