Le Mars, Iowa – Ann Lee Boetger, 63, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2007 following an auto accident. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars. Father Jim Tigges will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation will begin at 2:00p.m. on Monday at St. James Catholic Church. There will be a Rosary Service 4:00 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. and the family present from 5-7 p.m. There will also be one hour of visitation at the church prior to Mass on Tuesday.

Anna Lee Nemmers was born on June 23, 1943 in Le Mars, Iowa to Orville J. and Dorothy (Nothem) Nemmers. She was raised in Le Mars and graduated from Gehlen Catholic High School in 1961. Following her education, Ann worked as the head teller at Le Mars Savings Bank (now Primebank). During this time she traveled extensively. On February 23, 1974 Ann Nemmers and Craig Boetger were united in marriage at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Le Mars.

Ann continued her work in the banking field when she took a position with First Federal Savings and Loan in Le Mars. She would later work as a dietician at Floyd Valley Hospital for many years. Ann then worked as the activities coordinator at the Abbey of Le Mars and as the assistant activities coordinator at Plymouth Manor Care Center. She returned to the dietary department of Floyd Valley Hospital where she was presently employed.

Ann was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars and served the church as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Ann enjoyed knitting, baking homemade bread, and held a passion in caring for the elderly. She was Nana to her three grandchildren.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Craig of Le Mars; a daughter Cari Masuen and her husband Ted of Le Mars; a son T.J. and his wife Jill of W. Des Moines, IA; three grandchildren Alyssa, Morgen, and Camille Masuen of Le Mars; her mother Dorothy Nemmers and mother-in-law Bernie Boetger both of Le Mars; three sisters Carolyn and Joe Olson of Oelwein, IA, Marian and Rick Langel of Le Mars, and Kate and Tony Loutsch of Remsen, IA, six brothers John and Mona Nemmers of Savage, MN, Tom Nemmers of Burnsville, MN, Denny and Angie Nemmers of Le Mars, Nick and Linda Nemmers of Le Mars, Dave and Joe Ann Nemmers of Bristol, IL, and Jim Nemmers of Lincoln, NE; a sister-in-law Marci and Jeff Indahl of Eden Prairie, MN; a brother-in-law Kevin Boetger and his friend Sue of Merrill, IA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father Orville J. Nemmers; her father-in-law Arden Boetger; two sisters-in-law Vivian and Sheila Nemmers; and a nephew Christopher Nemmers.
