Clearfield Progress, Pa. Saturday, December 22, 1951 Levi Gearhart, a life-long resident of Lawrence Township, died in the Clearfield Hospital, December 21. He was 57 years of age. He was the son of the late Peter, and Mary ( Carr ) Gearhart, and was born May 13,1894, at the time of his fathers retirement in 1914, he took over the homestead and had carried on farming until a year ago when he sold the farm because of ill health. He was a member of the Centre Methodist Church, the Elks, and the Moose Lodges of Clearfield, and a social member of the Curwensville Firemen. He is survived by his wife, the former Annie C. Keyser, and the following sons, and daughters, Stanley, Howard, Louise Caldwell, Peter, Betty Read, and Walter, and seven grandchildren, all of Clearfield., He is also survived by the following brothers, and sisters, Pearl Wilson, Oden Gearhart, Nora Leach, Clearfield., Helen Boal, of Fewelton., Lloyd Gearthart, N. J., Funeral services will be held from the Leavy Funeral Home, Monday December 24, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. R. R. Croyle, officiating. Interment will be in the Centre Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after seven this evening Sunday afternoon and evening and until time of services on Monday.
