Howard W. Corl, Jr., of Derry Township, died Tuesday, February 10 at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Howard was born October 6, 1935, in Carlisle and was the son of the late Howard W. Corl, Sr. and Genevieve R. (Shenk) Corl.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Jane (Lawton) Corl; his children, Michael David Corl of Lower Allen Twp, Teri Michelle Pitman and son-in-law Joseph W. Pitman of Lower Swatara Twp; his grandchildren, Nikole Linville, Hayden and Tucker Corl, Taylor and Tyler Pitman.
Howard was of Christian faith having been a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Locust Lane. Howard graduated from John Harris High School, attended Franklin and Marshall College, served 4 years in the United States Air Force and was owner/operator of Howdy's Arco & Howdy's Auto Service for 33 years. After retirement he continued to work for Pharmerica as a pharmacy technician. Howard was a member of The Tall Cedars, Perseverance Lodge #21, F&AM and The Scottish Rite. Visitation will be Sunday, February 15 from 4-6 p.m., at Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street, Harrisburg. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 16 at 11 a.m., at the funeral home with interment at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Reverend Yvonne Ruffi-Butler will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Howard's name may be made to the Lebanon Veterans Administration, Attention: Chemotherapy Department, 1700 S. Lincoln Avenue, Lebanon, PA 17042 or Hospice of Central PA, P.O. Box 266, Enola, PA 17025.
Through Howard's long journey these 2 organizations gave him outstanding, spiritual, medical and comfort care.
