{from Bestwater} The many friends of Neil Mahurin of Garfield were grieved to learn Saturday of his sudden death which occurred Friday night of heart failure. He lived and died on the place where he was born 63 years ago and was loved by all who knew him. He will be missed very much but our loss is Heaven's gain. {from Pleasant View} Neil Mahurin died at his home near Garfield, Ark. April 29, 1932 at the age of 63 years, 12 days. He was born in Benton county, Arkansas April 18, 1869, a son of Rev. Ben Mahurin. Mr. Mahurin was united in marriage to Miss Lizzie Morris of Bentonville June 6, 1890. To this union were born seven children of whom six are living - William, Alva, Charley, Bessie, Jewell and Ray. He also leaves four sisters, Sarah Ann Blevins, Celia Green, Vicie Taylor of Garfield, Ark. and Ella Cox of Cassville, Mo. His Belief was of the Primitive Baptist. Mr. Mahurin was a good man and a good citizen. Every one will miss him. Funeral services was conducted by Rev. O.E. Coons of Little Flock.
