Carmela Branca was the daughter of Angelo and Rosina Pizzuti Branca. She went into the convent and took the name of Sister Rose. She was known as Aunt Millie to her remaining family.

Born in Philadelphia, she entered the Franciscan Sisters of Peace in 1948 and professed final vows in 1955.
A Funeral Mass was offered Feb. 7 at Marian Woods in Hartsdale, with burial at St. Mary's Cemetery in Yonkers.
