Mr. Daniels retired 13 years ago from the Nickel Plate Railroad where he had been employed as an engineer for 45 years.
He was a member of St. Marks Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society, Senior Citizens and held membership in the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers.
His wife, Mary Catherine Daniels died Dec. 27, 1957.
Suvivors include three sons, Loraine M. Daniels, Samuel W. Daniels and Marcellus "Mick" Daniels all of Venice; one daughter, mrs. George (Rita) Hatchard of Venice; one sister, Mrs. Russell (Thelma) Meredith of Surgis, Ky.; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
