Margaret Myrlla Beaver is the daughter of Oscar Beniah Beaver and Elizabeth E. Holeman. They were married on March 10, 1899. Margaret never knew her father because he died in July 1905 in Excelsior Springs, Clay County, Missouri about a month before she was born. She had an older brother, Marvin Beaver, who was born in January 1903. Marvin was less than three years old when he died in September 1905 just a month after Margaret was born. How sad this must have been for Elizabeth as she lost both her husband and son within two months of one another. Her joy must have been when Margaret was born on August 6, 1905. However, Margaret weighed only two pounds at birth. They put her in a sewing machine drawer and placed cotton around her and a light over her to keep her warm.

Margaret's mother, Elizabeth, married again in 1907 to Charles E. Crook. To this union was born two daughters, Sarah Ruth Crook on June 3, 1908 in Excelsior Springs, Clay County, Missouri. Sarah died in October 1986 in Pocahontas County, Iowa. Their second daughter Rachel Elizabeth Crook was born on 1 September 1910.

Margaret married Raymond Lowrie Henderson on January 1, 1927 in Pocahontas County, Iowa. To this union was born six children: Robert Raymond, Ila Eileen, Kenneth James, Linda Marie, Ray Edward and Virginia Ellen.

On January 6, 1959, Margaret was tragically killed in an auto-semi truck accident. She was loved by her family and is greatly missed.
