Services were held Friday, February 23 for Vint Davis, 88, of Oil Springs. A retired farmer, Mr. Davis was the son of John D. and Lorraine Webb Davis. He was born in December 1884, in Johnson County, and was a member of the United Baptist Church. Death came February 20, after an extended illness. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Moncie Trimble Davis, and two sons, James Wendell Davis of Columbus and Clarence Edward Davis of Oil Springs. Three grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive. Elders Tommy Bailey, Arnold Reed, and John Pelphrey officiated at services in Fish Trap Church at Manila. Burial was in the family cemetery at Oil Springs. The Paintsville Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
