MABEL A. BOWLEY
Mrs. Mabel Carle Bowley, 61, wife of Frank Bowley, of the Old Cape Road, Kennebunkport, and a former resident of Biddeford for many years, died at her home early Monday evening, following a lengthly illness.
She was born in Biddeford, the daughter of the late Charles S. and Lizzie (Nason) Carle. She was educated in the Biddeford schools and while here was member of the Foss Street Methodist church and ladies' organizations connected with the parish. She was later a member of the Kennebunkport Methodist church. She resided in that community for 35 years.
Besides her husband, she leaves three daughters, Mrs. Ruth B. Azar of Springfield, MA, Mrs. Irma Hilton and Frances E. Bowley of Kennebunlport and two sisters, Minnie (Carle) Record and Gertrude (Carle) Provencal of Biddeford.
Funeral services will be held at her home at Kennebunkport on Thursday afternoon at 2 pm. Rev. Ernest Seeley, minister of the South Congregational Church will officiate at the rites. Burial will take place in the family lot in Arundel Cemetery.
