She was born in Mecklenburg County on February 19, 1929 to the late Floyd Luther Davis and the late Emma Speight Davis.
Along with her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Gordon Hancock, and a sister Frances 'Pete' Hagler.
She is survived by her sons, Brent Hancock and Doug Hancock and his wife Vicki; granddaughter, Casey; sisters, Betty Lee of Mooresville, Catherine Burriss of Charlotte, and brother, John Davis of Charlotte; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hancock was a graduate of Derita High School Class of 1947. She worked as an office manager for Eckerd Apparel for many years. She also was co-owner of Country Clean Laundromat, in Charlotte for many years. The thing she enjoyed the most was bowling, she was an avid bowler and enjoyed the game and the friends she made while bowling tremendously. She bowled for many years at the Coliseum Lanes, in Charlotte.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. before the service on Monday, at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park and a Service to Celebrate the Life of Jacqueline will be in the Chapel of McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Dr. John Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
