Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 5, 2009, at Ray Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Haney officiating. Burial will follow in North Cleveland Cemetery.
Mrs. Vance was born on September 17, 1957, in Cleveland to Stephen Turner Jones Jr. and Agnes Davis Jones. She married James Buford Vance on June 28, 1974, in Shaw.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Agnes Jones.
Survivors include her husband, James Buford Vance of Greenville; two sons, Douglas Vance (Melanie) of Greenville and James Vance (Brittany) of Philadelphia: a brother, Jerry Jones (Rita) of Cleveland; sister, Stella Woods (Kenny) of Gunnison; and two grandchildren, Robert Vance and Blaine Vance.
Pallbearers are Bruce Davis, Robert Davis, Sonny Davis, Tommy (Windy) Davis, Mike Jones and Noel Rodriguez.
