Eugene Adolph obituary: A veteran and a roofer
Longtime Pawhuska resident EUGENE S. ADOLPH passed away Monday, February 2, 2009 in the Barnsdall Nursing Home. He was 91 years old.
Mr. Adolph was born February 1, 1918 in Hominy, Oklahoma, the son of Joseph and Levina (Larimore) Adolph. On December 2, 1940, he married the former Loretta Lucille Mitchell in Pawhuska. She preceded him in death January 23, 1987. Gene had worked for many years in the roofing business. He was a life member of the American Legion.
Surviving are: His two sisters: Marie Pemberton and Frances Falyne Rivera, both of Pawhuska; Numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 6, at 10:00 AM in the McCartney's Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Jim Chambers, Ed.D, will officiate. Interment will be in the Pawhuska City Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be performed by the American Legion and VFW.
