Sidney was the second wife of John Knox Fausset. They married after the death of his first wife in Jan 1850 and before the birth of Sidney's first child, Robert Fausset, in 1855. Sidney was also the mother of Laura C. Fausset born 1857 who married Emerson G. Moore, and Charles E. Fausset born July 1859.
Sidney Fausset died 24 August 1860 and her firstborn child, Robert age 5, died one day later. Both are buried in the Fausset family cemetery.
