NEWTON - Services for William Rome Crawford Jr. will be held today at 2 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery.
Mr. Crawford, 78, of Killeen, Texas, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2002, in Killeen. He was a retired civil service range control 18 years and retired Sfc. with 20 years of service. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and DAV. He was raised and educated in Decatur.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Crawford of Killeen; a son, James R. "Ron" Crawford of Newton; a daughter, Shelia Mosser of Killeen; a brother, Ancel Crawford of Richardson, Texas; four sisters, Rose Frank of Decatur, Audrey Mowdy and Alvie Smith of Pascagoula, and Agnes Blass of Mobile, Ala.
