Funeral services for Mrs. Rosie Mae Sparkman, 80, Hartselle Route 5, who died Tuesday, February 15, in Summerford Nursing Home, were to be today, February 17 at 2 p.m. at Oak Ridge United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Wilson and Rev. Amos Murphree officiating. Burial in the adjoining cemetery will be directed by Peck Funeral Home.
Survivors include three sons, Norman Sparkman, A.B. Sparkman, both of Hartselle; Frank Sparkman, Warrior; one daughter, Mrs. Clara Wynn, Hartselle; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Alton Johnson, B.C. Roberts, Kermit King, Medford Long, Carl Smith and Loyd Nicholson.
The body will remain at the funeral home until time to be taken to the church to lie in state one hour before services.
Mrs. Sparkman was a member of Oak Ridge United Methodist Church.
