Maude Sadie Stires. 85, of Washington Avenue in Washington, N.J., died Sunday in Warren Hospital.
Before retiring in 1977, she worked as an assembler for Exact Level Co. in High Bridge.
Born Jan. 5, 1903, in Pittstown, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Compton Dalrymple.
Her first husband, Phillip Trout, died in 1926.
Surviving are two sons, John E. Stires of Phillipsburg, and Edgar F. Shaffer of Washington; five daughters, Marie Stra and Virginia Hubert, both of Milford, Mary McAulisse of Pompton Lakes, N.J., Alice Davis of Villas, N.J., and Mattie Wieseman of Bethlehem, Pa.; two brothers, Clifford Dalrymple of Hampton, and Lester Dalrymple of Frenchtown; a sister, Viola Ciofolo of Easton; 36 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren, and a great-grandaughter.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the W.E. Johnson Funeral Home in Frenchtown Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery in Quakertown, N.J.
