Viola A. Ciofala, 94, of Palmer Township, died Thursday, May 13.
She was co-owner of the former Johnnie's Tavern in Bangor many years ago and later was employed as a waitress at various restaurants in the Easton area before retiring in 1985.
Born Oct. 6, 1904, in Alexandria Township, Hunterdon County, she was a daughter of the late Irvin and Anna L. Compton Dalrymple.
She and her husband, John, were married 49 years on May 5.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, three grandchildren and four great-grandsons.
A daughter, Mala Hothouse; four sisters, Hazel Niece, Elinor Gilman, Maude Stires and Bertha Smith, and two brothers, Clifford and Lester, died earlier.
Private services for the family will be held in the Morello Funeral Home, 12th and Lehigh streets, Easton.
Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine in Palmer Township.
