Mrs. Emma Mae (Judy) Smith, 42 years old of New Orleans, Louisiana died Monday, July 24, 1972 at a New Orleans hospital.

A native of Rudy, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Ben Pixley of Fort Smith, Arkansas and the late Mrs. Mary Lou Baxter Pixley who died on July 16, 1971. She was a member of the New Orleans First United Methodist church.

Survivors are he husband, Marvin I.; three daughters, Cathy, Tonya and Tammy all of New Orleans; his father Ben Pixley of Fort Smith; two brothers, Gilbert Pixley of Van Buren and R. E. Pixley of Fort Smith; three sisters, Eulima of Rudy, Belva and Leah both of Fort Smith.

A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist church in new Orleans. The body arrived in Fort Smith Thursday morning. A second service was held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Freewill Baptist church on Armour Avenue, Fort Smith, Arkansas. Leonard Crowder was the officiating minister. Burial was in the family lot at Gracelawn cemetery under the directions of Ocker Funeral Home.

Nephews served as casket bearers, Carlos, Benny, Billy Joe, Max, Wykima and Rex.
