The Rev. Benjamin Perry Pixley, 91, of 3900 Armour Avenue died Friday at a Fort Smith, Arkansas hospital. The retired minister was a member of 88 Freewill Baptist Church. He was a minister for 65 years at several area Freewill Baptist churches. He also was a member of Modern Woodman of the World and a former Mountainburg and Chester, Arkansas School board member and civic leader.

Funeral was held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Freewill Baptist Church. Burial was at Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home. The body was viewed from noon until the funeral hour.

He is survived by three daughters, Belva, Leah and Eulima; two sons, the Rev. Rupert Pixley and the Rev. Gilbert Pixley of Fort smith, Arkansas (now both deceased); 28 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
