Mrs. Edgar Puyear, 69 years old of Richmond Heights, died May 15 in a hospital in St. Louis. She had been ill of a heart ailment. She was a former resident of Dry Creek, near Lutesville. The former Thelma Hickam, was born March 8, 1902 in Tennessee, the daughter of the late Dow and Ellen Hickam.
She moved to Dry Creek with her parents when she was six years old, and was the last of a family of twelve children.
She was married to Edgar Puyear on May 25, 1925.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Frederick J. (Rachel) Hanna of Seymour, Iowa; and Mrs. Henry C. (Nancy) Straub of Crestwood, MO; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were May 18 in St. Louis. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Brentwood, MO.
