RAVER – On March 1, 1958, at 3:55 a.m., at the York Hospital, Norman O. Raver, husband of Elsie Thoman Raver, Glen Rock RD 1, aged 73 years, 3 months, 14 days.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services Tuesday, March 4, at 2 p.m. at the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock. Interment in Glen Rock Reformed Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday evening from 7 to 9.

Norman O. Raver, 73, Retired Mail Carrier of Glen Rock RD, Dies

Glen Rock – Norman O. Raver, Sr., 73, a retired rural mail carrier and husband of Mrs. Elsie Thoman Raver, Glen Rock RD 1, died Saturday at 3:55 a.m. at York Hospital where he was a patient for three weeks. Death was due to a complication of diseases.
Mr. Raver retired in 1950 after serving 33 years as rural mail carrier for Glen Rock RD 2. Mr. Raver was a member of York County Rural Mail Carriers association.
He also belonged to Trinity United Church of Christ congregation; Yosemite Tribe 100, Improved Order of Red Men, and Friendly Lodge 287, Knights of Pythias, all of here, and Glen Rock Hose and Ladder company.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Barbara E. Raver, Washington D.C., and Mrs. Robin R. King, Glen Rock RD 1; a son, Norman O. Raver, Jr., at home, and a sister, Mrs. Alice Reichard, Glen Rock RD 2.
Rev. Winfield E. Engler, his pastor, will officiate at funeral services tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Geiple Funeral Home. Interment will be in Glen Rock Reformed Cemetery.
