DIED--Saturday, Dec. 17, 1892, at her
home, five miles north of this city, Alice,
the beloved wife of W. C. Cady, aged 32
years.
The funeral services were held at the
M. E. church Monday at 2 o'clock p.m.;
in the presence of a large congregation;
Revs. Dana and Thompson officiating,
after which the remains were deposited
in the tomb to await the resurrection
morn.
The deceased was the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Henry Coad. Five years ago
Mrs. Cady embraced religion, since which
time she has professed a living interest
in the Savior and lived the life of a true
and devoted Christian.
She was married to Wm. Cady Dec.
24th, 1884, by whom she was the mother
of three sons, the eldest being seven
and the youngest two years old.
The death of Mrs. W. C. Cady is
another of those Providential visitations
which enshroud a whole community in
mourning. Her death is mourned and
regretted by everyone who had known
her, and a general sympathy goes out to
the bereaved husband and three mother-
less children.
- Mr. Henry Coad and wife parents of
the late Mrs. W. C. Cady, and Mrs. I. T.
Merchant, of Danville, Iowa, attended
the funeral of their daughter. We
acknowledge a pleasant call from Mr.
Coad. He has lived at Danville 48
years. Two of his sons bought farms in
this vicinity and will come here in the
spring.
