Born May 15, 1927, in Osceola, Ark., he was the son of the late Clarence and Nanny Roberts Cain. He lived in Bertrand most of his life where he was employed in farming and construction until retiring.
Survivors include: three sons, Larry Cain, Roger Cain and Michael Cain; three daughters, Paula Jenkins, Geraldine Mansfield and Jeanie Cain; one brother, J.C. "Buddy" Cain; three sisters, Rena Sills, Della Faye Laster and Imogene Fairhurst; and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Claudine Smart; and one brother, Lester Cain.
Relatives and friends assembled for graveside services at the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston. The Rev. Jon Archie, pastor of Elm Street Baptist Church, officiated.
McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston was in charge of arrangements.
