Nola Mae Whitney, 79, of Chandler, Arizona, formerly of Glenwood, died Friday, September 2, 1988 in Chandler.
She was born January 24, 1909 in Glenwood, the daughter of Thurman and Lorena Dingler Thrash.
She married first to Carl Thedford Moran. They had two children: Infant, born and died April, 1928, and Gerald Lee Moran.
She was married to Raymer W. Whitney, who preceded her in death May 5, 1985.
She was a memeber of the First Baptist Church in Glenwood.
survivors include three sons; Gerald L. Moran of Las Vegas, Nevada, Donald R. Whitney of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Bill Whitney of Leeton, Missouri; one daughter, Kathy Hensley of Chandler, Arizona; one brother, Lowell Troy Thrash of Glenwood; one sister, Sue Giorsetti of Winkelman, Arizona; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 6 in the First Baptist Church in Glenwood with Rev. Jody Gannaway officiating.
Burial was in the Salem Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Davis Funeral Home of Glenwood.
Pallbearers were: Herman Norris, Aaron Dingler, Deadle Thrash, Earl Stroope, Lindsey Campbell, and James Dwinnell.
Honory pallbearers were the T.E.L. Sunday school class of the First Baptist Church.
Her son, Gerald Lee Moran, born Feb 22, 1930, died April 21, 1992 in Las Vegas, NV. He was cremated, not buried.
