John Allen Dingler, 78, of Kirby died at Caddo Valley Nursing Home December 12, 1977.
He was born February 4, 1899, in Kirby, son of Fletcher A. Dingler and Julia Taylor Dingler. He was a retired carpenter and a Mason.
Survivors include his wife: Mrs. Bernice Dingler of Kirby; one brother, Floyd Dingler of Kirby, three sisters: Mrs. Allie Thrash of Monterey Park, California, Mrs. Willia Pasley of Orange, California, and Mrs. Laura Pasley of Waco, Texas; and three step-daughters: Mrs. Dale Anderson of Garland, Texas, Mrs. John Doster of New Braunfels, Texas, and Mrs. Eugene Thrash of Glenwood.
Services were Wednesday in the Salem Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Grady Whisenhunt officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery by Davis Funeral Home with Masonic graveside services.
Pallbearers were Masons.
