Funeral services for Ruben Asbury Wood, 91, who died at Hoemako Hospital Jan. 16, were held Saturday afternoon at the Cole and Maud Chapel. Rev. Burl Long, minister of the First Methodist Church in Eloy, officiated.

Born in Lawrence County, Alabama on Sept. 13, 1866, Mr. Wood had been a resident of Arizona for the past 51 years, moving to Casa Grande 31 years ago from Bisbee. He was a Past Master Grand of the Odd Fellows Lodge and was a member of the Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ollie; a son, Burton H., of Casa Grande; two daughters: Mrs. Winnie M. Storey, of Casa Grande, and Mrs. Iva Flower, of Phoenix; two brothers: Charlie, of San Antonio, TX, and Mel, of Uvalde, TX; seven grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Interment was in Mountain View Cemetery.
