Born in Lawrence County, Alabama on Sept. 13, 1866, Mr. Wood had been a resident of Arizona for the past 51 years, moving to Casa Grande 31 years ago from Bisbee. He was a Past Master Grand of the Odd Fellows Lodge and was a member of the Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ollie; a son, Burton H., of Casa Grande; two daughters: Mrs. Winnie M. Storey, of Casa Grande, and Mrs. Iva Flower, of Phoenix; two brothers: Charlie, of San Antonio, TX, and Mel, of Uvalde, TX; seven grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Interment was in Mountain View Cemetery.
