On Tuesday, Mr. R. L. Fordtran, of Industry, who is here serving as a member of the grand jury, received a phone message from Dr. B. E. Knolle, giving him the distressing news that his fifteen-year-old son, Leroy Fordtran, has lost his first joint of his thumb on the index finger of the right hand. The accident occurred while the boy was playing with a dynamite cap, and while bad enough, might easily have been worse.
