--Alice "Allie" Devine Coplen, 63, Rt. 3, died Monday, May 16, 1983, at Dukes Memorial Hospital, after a four-month illness.
--She was born Jan. 5, 1920, in Wabash County, the daughter of Clarence and Pearl Brothers Engelman. On Dec. 12, 1939, she married R. W. "Bill" Devine. He died Sept. 19, 1969. On Aug. 9, 1974, she married Porter Coplen, and he survives.
--Also surviving are a daughter, Patricia, wife of Louis Hevezi, Peru; four sons, Richard of Peru, Mike of Breman, and Jeffrey and Tom, both of Florence, Ky.; four brothers, Merle Engelman of Fort Wayne, Hubert Engelman of Monticello, Jim Engelman of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Dick Engelman of Wabash; four sisters, Beatrice White of Wabash, Dorothy Sheridan of Largo, Fla., Reba Mullins of Rochester, and Eloise Kraning of Northbrook, Ill.; and eight grandchildren.
