Gilbert D Barton, 61, died at the Veterans Administration Hospital. He was born in Malone, son of the late Geroge C and Mary (Tebo) Barton and can be found with his parents on Abbott St in Worcester in 1917. He married Nettie Abrabon, who was born in England, and lived in Worcester for about 35 years. He worked as a cook at the Regal Lunch, the Waldorf Restaurant and the Wyman-Gordon Co cafeteria, before retiring. In 1942 he can be found living on Fulton St. Brooklyn, NY. He then lived in Bath, New York for 8 years.

Gilbert also served as a Private, in Company B, 315TH AMN TR, as a Reconstruction Aide, during World War I and is buried at Bath National Cemetery. At the time of his death, he left his wife, Nellie, and remaining siblings: Luke, Felix, Laura Julia Fenner and Armena Plant, as well as a stepsiter, Blanche, widow of Leo Plant of Rochester. He was predeceased by sisters Ella Bond and Kate O'Coin.
