Born in Greenville County, South Carolina, Kinchen T. Holcombe Jr. was the son of the late Kinchen T. Sr. and Lizzie Griffin Holcombe, employed with Dunean Mill and member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church passed away on Monday in Anderson County, South Carolina.

Among his survivors are his wife, Ruby Hinton Holcombe and step-sons, Cpl. John N. Vinson from Laurens and Willard Aaron Vinson from Greenville; three sisters, Mrs. Nora Stream from Tampa, Florida, Mrs. Alma Knight and Mrs. Clara Burrell both from Greenville; two brothers, Walt and Jim Griffin both from Greenville; one half-brother, Clint Griffin from Greenville; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were held at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home Chapel on on Wednesday at 4 p.m. with internment in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
