Ervie Hampton Baize, 66, a retired sheet metal worker at The Charleston Naval Shipyard. died Friday in a local hospital. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Charleston Seventh Day
Adventist Church. Burial, directed by Stuhr's Downtown Chapel, will be in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Mr. Baize was born in Charleston, a son of William A. Baize and Nellie B. Sanders Baize. He served in the Army and was a member of Charleston Sev-enth Day Adventist Church. Surviving arc his wife, Betty Abbott Baize, a son, William R. Baize of Charleston; three daughters, Levica Kervin of Mount Pleasant, Robin Wilson of John's Island and Angela Baize of Charleston; a brother, Allison Baize of North Charleston; a stepsister, Bonnita Benner of El Paso, Texas; three grand-children; and a great-grandchild.
