Andrew J. Shull, 84, of the Broadway Trailer Court in Burns died at the Harney County Hospital on Thursday, May 20 1982. He had been ill for the past five years.
Memorial services were held at Pioneer Prespbyterian Church in Burns on Monday, May 24 at 1:30pm. Dr. Karl Christ, pastor of the church, officiated.
Congregational singing was accompanied by Ethel Johnson, organist. Private cremation was held in Bend.
Andy was born in Butterfield, Missouri on April 21 1898 to the late Andrew and Rosa (Van Horn) Shull.
He lived his early life in Missouri and part of his education was recieved there. He came to Harney County in 1912 and lived with family and friends. He attended school in rural Harney County.
Andy and his wife, Marjorie were married in Los Anglees, California on feb 25 1931. They owned and operated the Andrews Store from 1933 to 1962. He also was a rancher.
He was known as an honest and caring person who loved children and took a special interest in schools.
He was a member of the Harney County Senior Citizens Center.
Andy is survived by his wife, Marjorie of Burns; two sons Gregory of Hines and George of Lake Oswego; a daughter Gloria Ann Hull of Mt. Lake Terrace, Washington; three half sisters living in Missouri and five grandchildren. His son-in-law: Frederick Harold Hull

At the time of his death, he was actually survived by only 2 half sisters: Fontella Bullington Baker and Noveta Bullington McDaniels and one half brother: Lloyd Kenneth Bullington.
