FUNERAL HELD FOR MRS. TIPTON, HERE.
Former Covington County Woman Dies in Fort Lauderdale Tuesday.

Mrs. Ella Tipton passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. L.G. Adams in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., last Tuesday. The deceased was a lifetime resident of Covington County, having been born and reared near Rose Hill. Before her marriage to the late James W. Tipton, she was Miss Ella Spicer.

She is survived by five sons, Chas. H., Havond, Ohio; W.R., Oneonta, Ala.; A.T., Mt. Hermon, La.; L.G., Miami, Fla. and Lester, of Route 2, Andalusia; daughter are Mrs. L.G. Adams, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Mrs. Nell, Birmingham and Mrs. Lindsey Berry of Akron, Ohio.

The body was shipped to Andalusia, taken charge by Foreman Funeral Home and carried to the home of Mrs. Eugene Grant, niece of the deceased. Funeral services were held at Mt. Zion Church near Straughn Saturday afternoon with Rev. W.E. Clark officiating. Rev. Clark paid a beautiful tribute to the Christian life of the deceased and pointed to the Master for comfort of the bereaved family. Interment followed in Mt. Zion cemetery.

Active pall bearers were Carl Spicer, Marvin Stewart, B.M. Stewart, G.B. Grant, Rondell Miller, and Tom Cottle. Honorary pall bearers were W.H. Powell, J.W. Shreve, W.C. Grant, E.W. Grant, J.H. Caton, Walter Tillman, Marvin Tillman, Emery Spicer, Lum Clark, Frank Clark, E. Williams and I.M. Harrelson.
