YOAKUM - Agnes Benys, 88, of Yoakum, died Friday, Oct. 8, 2004.

She was born May 19, 1916, in Gonzales County, to the late Joe and Frances Kalinek Vinklarek. She was a homemaker and a Catholic.

Survivors: daughters, Karen Hermes of Yoakum and Irene McClanahan of Houston; sons, Robert E. Benys Jr. of Schulenburg and Adolph J. Benys of Houston; sisters, Pauline Paul of Houston and Helen Adcock of Hallettsville; brother, Paul Vinklarek of El Campo; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: husband, Robert Benys; sisters, Frances Weigelt and Marie Ramsel; and brother, Joe Vinklarek.

A wake service will be 7 p.m. Sunday at Buffington Funeral Home chapel.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Rev. Charles Sonnier officiating.

Burial will be at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery. Buffington Funeral Home, Yoakum, 361-293-2333.
