She was purchased in utero and was the first choice from her litter. Nicknamed Lu Lu, she nevertheless always was known as and answered faithfully to 'Mandy'.
Mandy flew from Kentucky to Pennsylvania twice to learn all about hunting. Her master and friend followed her, hunted with her, and drove back wth her to Kentucky.
She also hunted with my brother in Kentucky. Mandy lived on their farm with the other dogs ‘Kay-Kay' and Drake and the cows and cats.
Mandy was an indoor dog for awhile. She used to go to work every day with her owner/dad/best friend and spend the day in the corner of his office.
After awhile Mandy begin to want to be an 'outside dog', but of late she had selected an easy chair in the garage, quickly made it her own, and slept there every night.
Mandy suddenly became ill and was treated briefly for an infection, but her condition did not improve. On 01/12/2009 she was diagnosed with cancer. Mandy worsened quickly over the next few hours.
With regret and tears Mandy was lovingly and humanely sent to sleep to travel to doggie heaven - leaving behind a bereaved owner who, along with the entire family, sadly misses his favorite pet and beloved friend, Mandy.
