Grover Hayden Cooper, age 40, of Franklin, Arkansas died June 10, 1973, at the Arkansas Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was a Baptist, a 32nd Degree Mason of Lodge No. 141, and past Master of Lodge No. 141. He was a resident of Izard County most of his life, and was employed as a salesman. Survivors include his wife, Elwanda Cooper of the home; four sons, Douglas Cooper of Georgia, Kenny Cooper, who is in the Navy, Dean Batterton and Mark Batterton both of Franklin, Arkansas; three daughters, Kathy Haskins and Barbara Cooper both of Ash Flat; Tammy Batterton of Franklin; three brothers, Lonnie Cooper, Carl Cooper and Bennie Cooper all of Melbourne; two sisters, Willa Graham and Bessie Guthrie, both of Melbourne, and four grandchildren. Funeral Service was held Monday, June 11, 1973, at 2:00 p.m. at the Belview Baptist Church with Bro. Raymond Carneal officiating. Burial was in the Knob Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Bill Ferguson, Jack Halbrook, Clifton Clark, Pat Snapp, Dick Swink, David Wyatt, Mantzell Moss, Jim Horton, Bryon Hamm and Gene Street.
