Niecie Malone Chenault Teague... my grandmother, lived 92 years and was blessed with so much love from her family and friends. She was married to my grandfather, Forrest Jethro Buford Teague for 67 wonderful years, and passed from this life on their wedding anniversary. She had one daughter Joyce Alene, two grandchildren Danny and Dana, and 5 great grand children, Brian, Elizabeth, Emily, Erin and Laura.
She was born Feb. 16, 1916, in Lawrence County to Thomas Jefferson Chenault and Gertrude Hattie Lou Stephenson Chenault. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Ridge United Methodist Church. She raised a beautiful garden every year, made the best vegetable soup ever, and taught us all so many things about life.
She was the oldest child, and helped raise her brothers and sisters, Kyle, Howard, Connie, Ray, Reuel, Christine and Mabel. She suffered a stroke in 2004.
