He is survived by his wife; two sons, Rich (Luanne) Alltop and David (Rhonda) Alltop, both of Pontiac; one daughter, Jan (Steven) Westfall, Heyworth; 12 grandchildren, John Alltop, Ashley Alltop, Joshua Alltop, Melissa Carls, Michael Carls, Lori Feather, Krista Laskowski, Cami Westfall, Seth Westfall, Ashley Gernentz, Angela Gernentz and Kaitlyn Alltop; four great-grandchildren, Taylor Filkin, Madison Filkin, Nicholas Feather and Luke Laskowski; two brothers, Donald Alltop, Toluca, and Gale Alltop, Pontiac and two sisters, Esther Ide, Pontiac, and Velma Matter, Minonk, Il.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Germany.
