Grover Lewis Alford, 71, of 204 Forestville Road, died Saturday, April 4, 1998, at his residence from an extended illness.
Mr. Alford was born in Wake County, son of the late Grover L. and Oza Minga Alford. He was retired as a maintenance supervisor.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 1998 in Glen Royal Baptist Church, with the Rev. James Brown officiating. Entombment will follow in the Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Alford is survived by his wife, Marie Alford; daughters, Pam Roberts of Wendell,and Suanne Watkins of Rolesville; sons, Lee Alford of the home, and Patrick Alford of Durham; sisters, Ruth Bunn and Joyce Davis, both of Wake Forest; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Bright Funeral Home, Monday (today) from 7-8:30 p.m.
