Son of Daniel Jr. and Catherine (Avery) Denison of New London County, CT. Latham was born in New London, CT and came with his brother Samuel Denison to farm in Floyd, Oneida County, NY in the early 1800's.

He married Eleanor Tifft in 1796. They had approximately 10 children: Angeline, Pedy, Theresa, George, Rhoda, Alvin, Alonzo, Halsey, George T., and Wellington.

Descendant of Elder William Brewster of the Mayflower.
