Daniel Jr. is the son of Daniel Denison and Rachel Starr.
After his father died his mother married Col. Ebenezer Avery.

A direct descendant of Elder William Brewster of the Mayflower. A SGT in Capt. Stephen Niles' Company, 4th Regiment, NY militia, under Col. William Van Rensselaer (Rev. War). Brother of Capt. James Denison, who is also buried in this cemetery.
