Emma Minerva Law was born to James and Delora [Lamb] Law on July 7, 1878, near Grinnell, Iowa. At the age of five she moved with her parents to the site of the present Law farm in Ida County, northeast of Correctionville. Here she received her education in the rural schools and grew to womanhood. On July 4, 1922, she married Kenneth Jennings at LeMars. In 1924 they moved to a farm near Flandreau, South Dakota. After living on various farms in South Dakota, Minnesota, Missouri and Iowa, Mr. Jennings died November 5, 1952, at the farm home near Leon, Iowa.
