The funeral of Mrs. A. Decker who died at the McGinnis hospital early Tuesday morning after an operation for hernia was held from the Catholic church Thursday morning at 9:30 o'clock and the burial was in the Catholic cemetery west of Burlington. The funeral was very largely attended by the many friends of the family. Mrs. Decker was a woman who was a good mother, a true friend and did good for the benefit it done and not for show. She was a good mother and her family have the sympathy of all in their sorrow.

Elizabeth Bronagel was born in Franklin county, Indiana, October 19, 1861. She afterwards moved with her parents to Shelby county, Indiana where she was married to A. Decker in 1879 and moved to Coffey county, Kansas, in 1884 to a place near Indian Hill, where she lived until 1902 when the family moved to the farm north of Burlington where they lived until her death. She was the mother of thirteen children, eleven of whom survive her, twin babies born about nine years ago having died in infancy. The surviving children are: Rose, George, Lewis, John, Fred, Michael, Edward, Manuel, Lucille, Mary and Laura. She also leaves a mother, husband, one sister and four brothers to mourn her death.
