John, a son of Lieut. Elisha Cook, an American Revolutionary soldier, was a veteran of the War of 1812. He married Dorca Case and removed from the "East" and settled in (Seville) Guilford township in 1821, and was the first "white man" to be interred at Mound Hill Cemetery. NOTE: His date of birth was extracted from the "Official Roster of the Soldiers of the American Revolution Buried in the State of Ohio". Columbus OH : pub.
