In 1899, C. W. Abbott purchased his family plot at Mound Hill Cemetery. The 1890 Special Census of Soldiers & Sailors enumerated the family as residents of Montville Township. The death notice of their youngest daughter, Little Dot, appeared in the Medina County Gazette on December 30, 1881. Although her interment was not listed in the Mound Hill sexton records, we are compelled to remember her here.
