Daisy was the oldest daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Joseph J. Houdek, and was born
near Munden, Republic county, Kansas.
She was united in marriage to Joseph
Jakabosky, March 1, 1897, and lived in
Republic county, Kansas, all her life,
with the exception of two years, which
they lived in Colorado.
To this union were born 10 children, seven
daughters and three boys; Mrs. Bessie
Thomas, Mrs. Libbie Grubbs, Charlie
Jakabosky, Mrs. Marion Law, Mrs.
Lillian Greenwood, and Leon
Joseph, 17, Ernest, 14, and Ola, 11,
who live at home. A daughter, Leona
Josephine, passed away in infancy..
She leaves to mourn her death, her
husband and the above mentioned
children, her aged mother, Mrs. Mary
Houdek, one brother, B. B. Houdek,
one sister, Mrs. Mrs. Bessie Houdek,
and thirteen grandchildren, besides
many other relatives and friends.
Interment was made in the Tabor cemetery.
